Zachariah R. Miller Memorial Scholarship

Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio

This scholarship was established in memory of 2nd Lieutenant Zachariah Robert Miller who died tragically during an Army training exercise while serving his country. Lieutenant Miller, a 1998 graduate of Lakeview High School and 2002 honors graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, was also a Truman Scholar and the recipient of the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship. He was deeply committed to academic excellence, leadership, participation in athletics, as well as selfless service in school activities and community projects. This scholarship seeks to recognize a Lakeview High School senior who exemplifies the qualities, ideals, and spirit cherished by Lieutenant Miller.
