Yellow Ribbon Scholarship
American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) Foundation, Inc.
Applicant must be a permanent resident of the United States or Canada with a physical or sensory disability who is an entering or returning undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited two-, three (for Quebec), or four-year college or university in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Undergraduate applicants must be enrolled in a tourism-specific program or area of focus or a hospitality program with a focus on travel and tourism; graduate students must be able to demonstrate a clear focus on and commitment to the tourism subject area. Application, scanned copy of driver's license, signed letter from an accredited physician confirming disability, resume, two letters of recommendation, transcript, and essay which answers the following question, "What contributions do you feel you might make in pursuing a career in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry? How can your related work and internship experiences in the industry so far be useful" are required to be submitted.
