William E. “Bill” Gallagher Memorial Scholarship

Parkersburg Area Community Foundation

This scholarship is for Parkersburg South High School graduating seniors who have been admitted to attend Glenville State College or Alderson Broaddus College. Selection based on a demonstrated thirst for knowledge and a love of people as attested to by guidance counselors and evidenced by participation in extra-curricular activities and community service. Preference shall be given to students majoring in education, with further preference given to students intending to major in history, fine arts, physical education or middle school education; to the extent possible, preference shall be given to students whose elementary and secondary school career included a term at Blennerhassett Elementary or Junior High School.
