Wildcat Scholarship

Western Indiana Community Foundation

The applicant(s) must be a graduate of South Vermillion High School. The applicant(s) must be a student at South Vermillion High School during their entire high school tenure (9th-12th grade). Residency is not a factor in the selection process. Applicants may reside outside of the South Vermillion School Corporation District as long as high school tenure requirement is met. The applicant(s) must be accepted as a full- time (minimum of 12 hours) student at a two-year or four-year public or private college or university or vocational trade school, with preference to an institution located in Indiana. The school must be accredited by a regionally accredited organization such as the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Two scholarships are to be awarded each year. The minimum grade point average for high school applicants is 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale. Several criteria are to be taking into consideration when selecting recipients. Each of these criteria are to receive equal rating: 1) Financial Need, 2) Academics/GPA/Class Rank, 3) Community/Volunteer Service, and 4) Activities/Employment. Two scholarships will be awarded each year.
