Whendy Kozminski Memorial Scholarship

Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio

This scholarship is in loving memory of Whendy M. Kozminski and rewards two Greenville High School graduating seniors, one male and one female, who both intend to further their education beyond high school. Whendy was able to continue her education; amazingly she earned her Master’s Degree in Education, while she was undergoing treatment for breast cancer. The two recipients of this award must demonstrate a tireless spirit, by participating in school sponsored activities or clubs as well as local organizations that serve the community. Whendy, without hesitation, volunteered her time to several local organizations; IPTO for Hempfield Elementary and East Elementary; board member of Greenville Little League; and president for two years of Greenville Little League. She accomplished all of this while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. The two recipients of this scholarship will embody the energy, effort and caring displayed by Whendy in her short time with us.
