The W. Charles Akins Scholarship was established in honor of W. Charles Akins. The applicants must be a senior at Akins High School with a proven record of leadership and community involvement. Applicants must also plan on attaining an associate or bachelor degree and must have graduated on the Recommended or Distinguished Achievement High School Plan.
