Verlyn L. Heath Memorial Scholarship

Arkansas Funeral Directors Association

This scholarship is for Arkansas funeral service apprentices. Applicants must agree to return to Arkansas and work in funeral service there for at least two years after graduation. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, need, and scholastic achievements. Award amount will be doled out at $500 per eligible semester.

Any person who is currently an apprentice, has satisfactorily completed the apprenticeship program for either funeral directors or embalmers, or a current student of an accredited mortuary science school who has completed one year of this program is eligible to apply for a scholarship. This scholarship is intended for use in partially defraying expenses incurred while in attendance at an accredited school of mortuary science.
