The Ora E. Anderson Scholarship

Foundation for Appalachian Ohio

This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors or GED recipients who currently live and attend school within the 32 counties of Appalachian Ohio. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must plan to pursue post-secondary studies associated with the natural sciences, including but not limited to forest and wildlife management; environmental restoration; natural and historical interpretation; ecotourism and related disciplines associated with broadly protecting, plants, animals, and the environment. Candidates who demonstrate overall commitment to environmental protection and conservation will be considered; ethical character, extracurricular activities, volunteerism, and financial need will also be evaluated. Recipients must show proof of acceptance at an accredited vocational school, college, or university.
