The Bickley Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2016 to assist a female, graduating senior from a Dayton Public School planning to major in a STEM related field at a community college or a four-year college or university. From the grandchild of a slave comes the spirit of an entrepreneur. It starts with a vision and a belief of what’s possible in America. Manuel Bickley’s innovative spirit helped him reach his goal at a time when so many others could not. His innovative spirit has been passed down through the generations in the Bickley family. May this scholarship inspire it’s recipients to academic excellence and give them courage to pursue what’s possible. Preference will be given to applicants who have participated in band.
