The Tagore Society of Houston, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, invites high school seniors to its annual essay contest focused on the philosophy and works of the great Indian Nobel Laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore. Contestants will review a famous quote from Tagore and write an essay based on its relevance to current times and how it can help today’s society. The primary objective of this contest is to promote “borderless thinking” and the enduring insights from one of the world’s greatest poets as our seniors step out onto their own world stage.
