Swiss Benevolent Society of San Francisco
This scholarship is for students who are of Swiss descent (at least one parent who is a Swiss national, registered with the Swiss Consulate General of San Francisco, or carry a valid Swiss passport). To qualify, applicants must have resided in Northern California in the district of the San Francisco Swiss Consulate for a minimum of three years preceding the date of initial application. Applicants must have applied for admission to any accredited institution of higher learning in the United States offering a bachelor's or graduate degree. Applicants must be enrolled full-time: 12 undergraduate or 9 graduate units per term. Merit- and need-based scholarships require a 3.2 high school GPA, 3.0 GPA for the first year in college, and a 3.2 GPA thereafter; scholarships based on merit only require a 3.5 GPA - students must have completed at least two years of college to qualify for the merit-only scholarships.
