Army Emergency Relief (AER)

This scholarship is for the spouses of active-duty or retired Army soldiers. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be pursuing an accredited vocational or postsecondary program on a part- or full-time basis. Applicants must be 1) the spouse of an active duty soldier; 2) the widow(er) of a soldier who died while on active duty; 3) the spouse of a retired soldier; or 4) the widow(er) of a retired soldier who died while in a retired status. Active duty soldiers are not eligible for this scholarship. The application process is different depending on whether applicants live in the United States or overseas; see website for details. Students pursuing a second bachelor's degree or graduate degree are not eligible for this scholarship.
