SOE Gamers in Real Life (GIRL) Game Design Competition Scholarship Program

Sony Online Entertainment (SOE)

This scholarship is for students pursuing career paths in creative and applied arts, with the ultimate goal of developing video games that are more interesting for women to play. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program related to video games, including programs related to video game art, design, animation, production, programming, or visual effects. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher; continue to be enrolled during the entire 2013-14 academic year; be legal residents of the United States; and be 18 years of age or older at the time of application. The winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship ward to be applied toward tuition, room and board, and other education-related expenses; and an internship of up to 10 weeks at SOE's headquarters in San Diego, California.
