This scholarship is for young vocal artists between the ages of 16 and 22. Proof of age and US citizenship must be submitted with the application. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit a ten-minute vocal performance on a studio quality DVD. Applicants must present three vocal selections that are contrasting in style preferably from art songs, operas, or oratorios. One selection must be in English. Applicants must demonstrate a serious commitment to their art by providing a written statement of their career plans for the future and must specify their mode of further study. The scholarship funds are only for private study, special training, or for personal advancement in the applicants' future career. The funds may be used for college tuition, but not for housing, travel or personal expenses.
