This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors and former graduates of high schools in the Kansas City, KS School District or the Kansas City, MO School District;. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have experienced some adversity in their lives and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must plan to enroll in a two- or four-year college or university to pursue an associate's, undergraduate, and/or graduate degree, or a vocational or technical school. Extracurricular activities, community service experience, and letters of recommendation may also be considered. Scholarship recipients are also expected to give back to the community by completing at least 10 hours of community service each year they receive the scholarship.
