This scholarship is for residents of the state of Hawaii who are majoring in Hawaiian language, including Hawaiian culture and history. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must demonstrate financial need. Applicants must enroll full-time in a degree-seeking program at a two- or four-year college institution. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit an essay demonstrating the applicant's achievements in studying Hawaiian language, culture, and history; proposed action to plan complete college-level Hawaiian language studies; and plan to share this knowledge with others in the Hawaiian community.
