This scholarship is for high school juniors who attend the current session of either The American Legion Boys State or Auxiliary Girls State program and are descendants/dependents of a wartime veteran who served on active duty during at least one of the period of war (see link below for eligible time periods). Descendants of Korean War veterans will receive preference. Awards may go towards tuition, books, fees, and room and board for undergraduate study. Winners are selected based on academic record, involvement in school and community activities, community service, and financial need. Applications are due by the first day of the participant's program.
