SAGE Scholarship

Ventura County Community Foundation

This scholarship is awarded to Ventura County residents who will graduate this year from any high school in Ventura County and will enroll in an accredited community college or 4-year college/university. Candidates must demonstrate initiative, good citizenship, and excellent writing skills. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. A preference will be given in the selection process to applicants majoring in English, Journalism, Creative Writing, or other language arts. There is no minimum GPA required to apply, but the majority of awards are granted to students with a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Among eligible applicants whose GPA is below 3.0, preference in the selection process will be given to applicants showing the most improvement in academic accomplishments.
