PSRW Essay Contest

City of Houston Human Resources Department Communications Division

This essay contest is for seniors from high schools in the Houston, Texas area. To apply, students must choose a city job that interests them and write an essay of 500 words or less. Winning essays will be selected based on organization and accurate presentation; creativity; and proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Students are encouraged to interview one or more city employees working in the jobs they chose to write about. Please see website for further application guidelines.
