Prsa-Hawaii/Roy Leffingwell Public Relations Scholarship

The PRSA Hawai'i/Roy Leffingwell Scholarship was established in honor of the late Roy L. Leffingwell, APR, who retired in 1989 after more than 43 years of public relations service in Hawai'i. He founded International Public Relations, Hawaii's first full-service counseling firm and was active in public relations organizations including the National Association of Public Relations Counsel, one of the two organizations that merged to form PRSA. He was a former chapter president and 1993 Professional of the Year.
Applicants must be a resident of the State of Hawai‘i, demonstrate financial need, attend an accredited, two or four year, not-for-profit institution within the US (including US territories), attend as a full-time student (as determined by your school’s financial aid office), major in Public Relations, Journalism or Communications, intend to pursue a career in Public Relations, college Junior, Senior or Graduate student, minimum 2.7 GPA.
