Pennsylvania Chafee Education and Training Grant Program
Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA)
This grant is for Pennsylvania residents who are identified as youth in foster care or youth discharged or adopted from foster care after age 16. To qualify, applicants must be eligible for services under Pennsylvania's John H. Chafee Foster Care Independence Program; be participating in the Chafee Program on their 21st birthday until they turn 23 years old; be enrolled at least half-time in an approved college or career school; demonstrate financial need for the grant; maintain satisfactory academic progress; and not be in default on a federal student loan.
