Pay It Forward Scholarship

The Pay It Forward Scholarship Fund was established as part of the Community Foundation's 25th anniversary celebration to provide an outlet for previous winners of DSACF administered scholarships to return their scholarship winnings to the DSACF to assist subsequent generations of students in the Twin Ports area.
Many generations of students from Northeast Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin have bettered their education and place in life with the assistance of scholarships from the Community Foundation. The Pay It Forward Fund provides a place for those former recipients to 'give back' to the communities which supported them.
The fund is unrestricted - allowing the DSACF Board to create application criteria which meet the community's most pressing needs. Presently the Pay It Forward Fund is playing a significant role in the Community Foundation's Opportunity Gap initiative though the Opportunity To Rise Award.
