Owens Corning Dependent Scholarship Fund

Toledo Community Foundation

For the children and/or legal dependents of all current salaried and hourly full-time employees of Owens Corning or its majority owned affiliates.

Selection of scholarship recipients will be based on:

1. Students who will be full-time students (as defined by the institution) at an accredited higher educational institution. Said institution must be an organization described in section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code (if a U. S. institution) or an equivalent foreign institution.

2. Financial need.

3. Scholastic aptitude (ACT composite of at least 24 OR SAT composite of at least 1160 [excluding optional essay] or equivalent outside of the U.S.).

4. Prior academic achievement (demonstrated grade point average of 3.0 or above based on a 4.0 scale at a secondary school or equivalent (average to above-average student) outside of the U.S.).

5. Evidence of sustained participation and commitment to community and social service activities.

6. Recommendations from a teacher, guidance counselor and/or administrator.
