Next, we want you to dig deep. Your essay should be 2-3 pages long. Give us those juicy details and thoughtful insights.

Now for the final catch. Write about your experiences! Tell us how you participated in the political process and how it impacted you. Here are some questions for inspiration:

- Did the election cause conflict in your household? How did you handle it?
- Were you impacted by voter suppression? How did that make you feel?
- Did you volunteer for any campaigns or take part in protests? What was that like?
- Was there something that caused you to change your vote? What was it?
- Are you a first time voter? What were your thoughts as you went through this process for the first time?
- Whatever you write about, be detailed and opinionated! We may publish your essay for others to read! That’s in addition to the $500 in scholarship cash that’s up for grabs!
