In order to qualify for this scholarship, students must: Graduate from HISD in May of year applying; be the male or female student with the highest rate of attendance for this current school year. If there are multiple students who fit the attendance criterion, the next deciding factor will be the highest grade point average of the qualifying students. One male and one female student from each high school will be awarded a one time scholarship. Application is required along with a copy of their official transcript. In addition, students must submit one letter of recommendation from an adult that is NOT a family member.
