Mrs. Baird's Scholarship Fund

In order to qualify for this scholarship, students must: Have a 2.5 grade point average; Graduate from HISD in May of year applying; demonstrate leadership and show evidence of volunteerism in their school or local community. Must also demonstrate financial need. Two deserving HISD students will receive this award in their first year of college. When selecting the scholarship recipients, the Scholarship committee will consider all circumstances provided by the application, the school, and letters of recommendations. Application is required along with a copy of their official transcript and a personal statement explaining the importance of possessing strong leadership skills. In addition, students must submit one letter of recommendation from an adult that is NOT a family member.
