MG James Ursano Dependent Children of Soldiers Scholarship Program

Army Emergency Relief (AER)

These scholarships are for undergraduate students who are the children of soldiers. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be 24 years old or younger and be the dependent of 1) a soldier on federal active duty; 2) a retired soldier; 3) a deceased active soldier; or 4) a deceased retired soldier. Some scholarships are based on financial need, while others recognize academic excellence and leadership/achievement. Applicants must maintain a 2.0 GPA, be registered in DEERS, remain unmarried for the entire academic year, and not be a member of the National Guard, Reserves, or other active duty military branch. Scholarship recipients must enroll full-time in a four-year undergraduate program at a US-accredited school. Students pursuing a graduate degree or second bachelor's degree are not eligible for this scholarship.
