Scholarships will be awarded annually as a lump sum grant of tuition assistance to advance the post-high school education of Champaign Central and Centennial High Schools students "...who have committed themselves to the pursuance of outstanding citizenship in the area of human relations and scholarship of Black students." Students are evaluated on the basis of the following: *Has through their own example fostered the ideals of brotherhood of all races *Has by example and other actions fostered good citizenship and excellence of Black students The selection committee is instructed to consider all students "without regard to whatever race, creed, color, sex and religious preference." The Community Foundation of East Central Illinois administers the scholarship funds which will be provided directly to the successful applicant's college or university.
