This fund memorializes Laura Dowsett who was instrumental in creating the first occupational therapy program in Hawai'i. She was the director of the occupational therapy department at Queens Hospital for 16 years. She also founded the Occupational Therapy Association of Hawai'i and served as its president for seven years. Applicant must attend an accredited, two or four year, not-for-profit institution within the US (including US territories) and be in an Occupational Therapy program.
