The Kathleen Hitt Mercado Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by her family in memory of a woman who taught in the Fauquier County Schools for 35 years. The purpose of the scholarship fund is to support a post-secondary educational scholarship for qualifying graduates of Fauquier High School who will pursue a mathematics degree.
