Joyce Jarrell Memorial Scholarship for Graduate-Level Studies

One annual stipend may be awarded to a college graduate who desires to pursue post graduate study or professional school. The student must have graduated with at least an overall 3.0 average in undergraduate work and a 3.5 average in the major field in which the applicant wishes to pursue graduate study. The stipend may be continued for the amount of time which is normally allotted by the degree-granting institution to complete the advanced degree and contingent upon the students maintaining a B average. The scholarship student must also submit to the trustees of this fund biannual letters of progress and semester grade reports. This stipend is available to graduates of Summers County public schools who are less than 30 years of age and not employed full-time. All decisions on granting this scholarship shall be within the sole discretion of the trustees of the Joyce Jarrell Scholarship Trust.
