John J. Piatek Athletic Scholarship

Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio

The family of John J. Piatek established this scholarship in his memory. John served his community in so many ways. He was a Hermitage Police Officer for 32 years, he was very active in his church, he was a Mercer County PIAA football official, and a scorekeeper and bookkeeper for the Hickory Girls and Boys Basketball Teams, just to name a few. Sadly on September 23,2015, the Piatek family as well as the community lost this amazing man after a short battle with cancer.
This scholarship that in his name will be awarded to a Hickory High School Football player that will be attending a college, university or trade school.
