Irvin E. Swanson Scholarship

Unity Foundation of LaPorte County

This scholarship is for legal residents of LaPorte County, Indiana, who are graduates of LaPorte High School. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be striving to obtain a four-year degree; be in good academic standing; be involved in extracurricular activities, such as sports, community service, service to family, and leadership; and demonstrate financial need (via FAFSA EFC result and the financial information on the application). Recipients of this scholarship will demonstrate: enthusiasm, hard work, the ability to overcome obstacles, continually striving for excellence, thoughtfulness and caring for others and the community, persistence, willingness to take chances, and a positive attitude.
