International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Foundation

These scholarships are for current members of the American and Canadian Fire Service. Applicants' fire chief should be a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs; IAFC members are given preference. To qualify, applicants must currently be active members of a state, county, providential, municipal, community, industrial, or federal fire department. Volunteers must have three years experience; paid must have two years; combination three years paid and volunteer; and explorer one year. Applicants must have demonstrated proficiency as a member of the fire service. Scholarship funds must be used at a recognized institution of higher education.
