IATAN Ronald A. Santana Memorial Scholarship

American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) Foundation, Inc.

This scholarship is for citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Guam, or Puerto Rico. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled as full- or part-time undergraduate students in a travel-and-tourism or hospitality-related program of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. Applicants must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or greater, on a US 4.0 scale. Applicants must be (1) entering any semester of sophomore year in the upcoming fall and completing a minimum of 30 credit hours by the end of the semester or term; (2) entering any semester of junior year in the upcoming fall and completing a minimum of 60 credit hours by the end of the semester or term; (3) or entering any semester of senior year in the upcoming fall and completing a minimum of 90 credit hours by the end of the semester or term. Applicants must provide a US passport or birth certificate as proof of citizenship or a US Alien Registration Card as proof of permanent residency. To apply for this scholarship, applicants write a two-page essay on a given prompt about how their career goals and academic activities relate to the travel and tourism or hospitality industry.
