Applicant must be a graduating high school senior residing in Brown County with exceptional academic ability and promise. Scholarships are available only to those attending the most selective universities in the nation. A list of qualifying universities and colleges is available on the website. Both types of scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, character and proof of college acceptance. Demonstrated financial need is a strong consideration for the need-based scholarship, but is not the overriding factor for the merit-based award. Additional requirements include an essay on the applicant’s character and how it relates to his or her future plans, three letters of recommendation, and a copy of the application or acceptance letter to the college or university listed.
