George V. Powell Diversity Scholarship

The scholarship is for students who will contribute meaningfully to the diversity of the legal community and who have demonstrated a desire to work, live, and eventually practice law in Seattle or Portland. To qualify, applicants must be second-year students in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school. Applicants in four-year joint degree programs will be considered after their third year. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement and record of leadership abilities, community service, and involvement in community issues. Scholarship recipients will be summer associates in Lane Powell's Seattle or Portland office and receive a $7500 scholarship towards tuition and expenses during the student's third year of law school.
