Florence F. Evett Scholarship Fund

Florence F. Evett was dedicated to the students at Northport Public School where she worked for 24 years as a bookkeeper. She was well thought of by the students, who often returned to visit her after they graduated. Florence gave a generous gift from her estate to the Foundation to establish a scholar-ship fund for students who wanted to attend college but lacked the financial means to do so. Each year, a scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior of Northport Public School that has a minimum GPA of 2.7 and receives the majority vote of the high school faculty.
