This scholarship is for graduating seniors from Lakeview High School in Battle Creek, Michigan, who seek educational opportunities beyond high school. Special consideration should be given to those candidates who are planning to pursue a career in journalism. Those who have participated in journalism classes, school newspaper, magazine, or yearbook and were actively engaged in the work, going beyond the requirements to pursue interests or get the job done, will also be considered. Emphasis is placed on the students proven potential to succeed in the academic selection area.
