October is an important month, because the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open! Submitting the FAFSA is so important for high school seniors and current college students - it is the only way to apply for federal and state grant aid, and the only way to apply for federal work study or federal student loans. Every year, millions of students who WOULD qualify for the Pell Grant don’t file the FAFSA, so they are missing out on thousands of dollars of federal grant aid that doesn’t have to be repaid. We need students like you to help spread the word about the FAFSA. That’s why Future Minds Fund is offering this $500 scholarship - and why we are offering it to THREE students!

Here’s how to apply:

Create and share an original social media post about the FAFSA on one of your social media channels. Your post must include one or more photo(s) / video(s) that are related to the importance of submitting the FAFSA.
Add brief accompanying text explaining why it is so important to submit the FAFSA.
To boost your chances of being selected for this scholarship, make sure your entry is relevant, original, and motivating to others.
