E.E. Black Scholarship Fund

Hawaii Community Foundation

This fund memorializes E.E. Black, chairman and president of The Gas Company, now Par Hawaii Refining. He is credited with revitalizing the company which was in danger of failing when he took charge. To recognize Mr. Black's numerous contributions, this fund was established in his honor. The scholarships go to dependents of employees at Par Hawaii Refining. Applicants must attend an accredited, two or four year, not-for-profit institution within the US (including US territories) as a full-time student. There is a preference for renewal candidates.
