Edna Hughes Davis Scholarship

This scholarship is for high school seniors, high school graduates, and current college students who are graduates of a high school in Sumter County, South Carolina. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have been residents of Sumter County for a continuous ten-year period immediately preceding their application. Applicants must attend a South Carolina college, university, or technical college on a full-time basis. Academic achievement and financial need will be considered for this scholarship. Awards will be made to students who are not able to attend college without the aid of non-family financial assistance. Preference may be given to an applicant who is a member of First Baptist Church in Sumter, South Carolina, or who is an employee or descendant of employees of Industrial Electric Rewinding Co., Inc. If you apply for Davis Trust Scholarship, and meet the criteria for Davis Corporate Scholarship, then you will automatically be considered for both.
