Don D. Jordan Scholarship

This scholarship is for legal dependents of employees of CenterPoint Energy or any of its subsidiaries. The employee must be active, retired, deceased, or receiving benefits from a long-term disability plan of the company. The employee also must have had at least two years of service with the company by January 1 of the current year. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be 22 years of age or younger by August 1 of the semester for which they receive the award. They also must be working toward an undergraduate degree or completion of a recognized course of study at an academically accredited institution and be in good academic standing. This scholarship is intended to recognize those students who have shown a consistent dedication to community involvement and have been motivated by their families to help others and invest in their community.
