Dave Herren Memorial Scholarship

American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) Foundation, Inc.

Applicant must be a permanent resident of the United States who is a full-time travel and tourism or hospitality student at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. The undergraduate applicant must be entering their junior or senior year and be enrolled in a tourism-specific program or area of focus, or a hospitality program with a focus on travel and tourism. The graduate applicant must be entering or returning, and be able to demonstrate a clear focus on and commitment to the tourism subject area. All applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Application, scanned copy of driver's license, resume, two recommendation letters (academic and professional), official transcript, and essay which answers the following question, "What contributions do you think you might make in pursuing a career in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry? How can your related work and internship experiences in the industry so far be useful?" are required to be submitted.
