Conditional Grant Program
Texas Department of Transportation
This grant provides financial assistance to eligible economically disadvantaged students who are residents of Texas and intend to seek a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Graduating high school seniors must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, or a 900 SAT score, or a 21 ACT score. Students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. All applicants must enroll full-time (12 hours/semester). Once accepted into the program, students must maintain full-time enrollment, maintain a 2.5 GPA, graduate with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, and agree to work for the Texas Department of Transportation for at least two years immediately following the date of their receipt of a bachelor's degree.
