Berkley-Brooks Memorial Scholarship

The Berkley-Brooks Memorial Scholarship was created from contributions in memory of Vivian Brooks Berkley and her son, Malcolm Brooks who were killed in a traffic accident together. Both were teachers in AISD and were respected by their peers. This scholarship is available to graduating seniors, who are a minority, demonstrate financial need and the desire to complete education in an institution of higher education. This award rotates through all AISD High Schools. In 2020, this award will be distributed to graduating seniors at Akins High School.
