This scholarship is for incoming college freshmen in California who are of Filipino descent (at least 50%). To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and plan to pursue a career in engineering or physical or environmental sciences. Healthcare careers are not eligible. Applicants must live in one of the following counties: Alamdeda, Contra Costa, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Los Angeles, Orange, or San Diego County. Scholarship recipients must enroll full-time at an accredited four-year college/university for the upcoming school year.
