This scholarship is for California residents who intend to become a college or university faculty member after pursuing an advanced degree at an eligible California graduate or professional school. Applicants are ranked competitively according to undergraduate grades, test scores, and consideration of a disadvantaged background; and must take the graduate/professional school exam appropriate to area of specialization. Selection is based upon financial need, academic ability, and state manpower needs.
