American Association of University Women Scholarship
Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Scholarship is awarded to a woman who has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in the areas of scholastic ability, character, and extracurricular/community involvement. Degree of financial need will also be considered.
Only candidates from one of the following groups are eligible:
- Female seniors from high schools in the Corning Painted Post, Addison, and Campbell-Savona school districts that plan to begin their freshman year at a four year college or university.
- Sophomore women seeking degrees at Corning Community College who are planning to enter their junior year at a four year college or university.
- Adult women whose education has been interrupted for various reasons and who are attempting to complete a four year degree by entering or re-entering a four year college or university.
