Amanda's Scholarship

Amanda’s Scholarship Endowment was created in memory of Amanda Welling Dykes, a student at Porter-Gaud School who died of cancer when she was 14. After her death in 1995, her mother used money saved for Amanda’s education to create a fund to honor Amanda’s love of learning and strength of character. An annual, renewable award is made each year to a student from Berkeley, Charleston, or Dorchester counties. This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors from Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, and Dorchester County in South Carolina.
